Set high up on the side of the Olmoti Volcano and within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is where you’ll find The Highlands.  A unique lodge consisting of just eight perspex and canvas doom suites with huge bay windows giving guests the most wonderful views of the surrounding crater and forest.

The Ngorongoro crater is a natural wonder created some three million years ago from a collapsed volcano creating an ecosystem in itself within the Serengeti.  Due to these unique circumstances an extraordinary concentration of predators call this place home.  The soda lakes that fill the smaller craters are homing beacons for thousands of pink flamingos that line the shores of this truly magical place.
