Swala Camp is located within the Tarangire National Park, the heart of Maasai country where you’ll find ancient acacia and baobab trees.  Huge herds of elephant along with prides of lion are often seen from camp.

 

The low numbers of visitors staying in the national park make it an intimate and thought provoking destination for any traveller.

The accommodation at Swala Camp consists of just twelve canvas pavilions.  Enjoy your king size bed draped in romantic netting, elegant furnishings and fittings along with both indoor and outdoor seating areas.  The en-suite facilities include a double vanity and both indoor and outdoor showers.

 

Step out into your raised veranda where you will find a luxury seating area and panorama views into the bush.

The facilities on offer at Swala Camp includes a stunning swimming pool, a viewing deck with camp fire.  The camp has an elevated lounge area, dining room and guest library.

 

Guests can also enjoy complimentary wi-fi whilst in camp.

Activities

Swala Camp offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides. Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles specially designed for traversing the African bush.

 

You may also wish to experience a night drive allowing you to view some of the nocturnal animals such as the porcupine, civet, bush pigs and genets. Or let you guide give you a different perspective of the African wildlife with a bush walk, here he will explain the importance of the smaller creatures such a dung beetles and termites along with the traditional uses for the trees and plants within the concession.
