Somalisa Expeditions is located within the famous Hwange National Park and known for its abundant elephant and predator sightings. Hwange is the perfect safari destination during the dry season (April – October) when spotting of animals is easier. However, for keen birders the wet season is an absolute must as approximately 500 bird species can be found within the park.
If you’re looking for a real African safari experience in the heart of southern Africa then this is one for you.

The accommodation at Somalisa Expeditions consists of just six comfortable Meru style tents each with double or twin beds and wrapped in netting, comfortable seating is also provided should you wish to sit indoors. The en-suite facilities include a single vanity and indoor/outdoor shower and bathtub along.
Each tent boasts a private veranda with seating and views out over the vlei.
Facilities
The facilities on offer at Somalisa Expeditions include a sun/viewing deck and fire pit with views of the elephant pool where the elephant herds will come down to drink.
Both indoor and outdoor dining areas along with a lounge area and bar complete the facilities at Somalisa Expeditions.

Somalisa Expeditions offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Hwange National Park in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides. Game drives are conducted in the morning and afternoon when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles.
We also highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk safari, your guide will point out wildlife, animal tracks along with the unique plant life of Hwange.
