Somalisa Camp is located within the famous Hwange National Park and known for its abundant elephant and predator sightings. Hwange is the perfect safari destination during the dry season (April – October) when spotting of animals is easier. However, for keen birders the wet season is an absolute must as approximately 500 bird species can be found within the park.
If you’re looking for a small intimate lodge in the heart of southern Africa then this is one for you.

The accommodation at Somalisa Acacia consists of just four sail tents each with king size and/or twin beds and wrapped in netting, comfortable seating is also provided should you wish to sit indoors along with a wood burning fire. The en-suite facilities include a vanity and indoor/outdoor showers along with a free standing copper bathtub.
Each tent boasts a stunning private deck with seating and views out into the African bush.
Facilities
The facilities on offer at Somalisa Camp include a sparkling lodge pool, sun deck and fire pit with views into the bush. The camp also has an active elephant pool, where the elephant herds will come down to drink.
Dining and lounge areas, bar and viewing decks complete the facilities at Somalisa Camp.

Somalisa Camp offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Hwange National Park in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides. Game drives are conducted in the morning and afternoon when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles.
We also highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk safari, your guide will point out wildlife, animal tracks along with the unique plant life of Hwange.
