Phinda is famous for its excellent sightings of the elusive but stunning cheetah as well as its work in rhino conservation.  Often referred to as ‘Seven Worlds of Wonder’ Phinda benefits from seven distinct ecosystems making it a diverse and stunning reserve.  In excess of 400 bird species have been recorded at Phinda, so not only if it a perfect place for a Big 5 safari but also for the avid birders amongst us.

 

With just four suites staying at Zuka Lodge feels like having your very private safari!

Zula has four bush cottages each with their own private seating area.  The oversized bath tubs are perfect for relaxing after an evening’s game drive.  

 

Each room also includes a king size bed (convertible to twins should it be requested), air-conditioning and fan, indoor shower, hairdryer and safe.

Staying at Zuka means you get your very own ranger and vehicle so every game drive is a very personal experience.  A dedicated chef is on hand to whip up delicious temptations, but should you prefer you are very welcome to join in the cooking experience or simply sit back and watch the master in action!

 

Should the heat of the day prove too much take a dip in the sparkling lodge swimming pool or maybe just sip on a refreshing drink while watching the wildlife quench their thirst at Zuka’s private watering hole.

Twice-daily game drives in open game drives vehicles and guided bush walks with a highly qualified ranger.

 

Optional Phinda Adventures Activities: Zulu village tours, Maputaland beach adventures, night turtle drives (seasonal), scuba safaris, an ocean safari, black rhino tracking on foot. Specialist Safaris include birding, photographic, rhino capture and research, Specialist Walking Safari, family and private safaris.
