The world-famous Kruger National Park was first proclaimed in 1898, at the time President Paul Kruger believed the wildlife of South Africa needed protection, but it took another 12 years before hunting was restricted in the area between the Sabie and Crocodile rivers.

These days the park is a premier South African safari destination with Imbali Safari Lodge having access to prime Kruger bushveld.  Expect an authentic encounter with the local Tsonga culture in extraordinary bush surroundings; the Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s most renowned conservation areas and home to the Big Five.

Open your doors onto a wooden veranda with a seating area private plunge pool and stunning views of either the Nwaswitsontso River or savannah grasslands.

The facilities on offer at Imbali Safari Lodge include a sparkling pool, idea for cooling off during the lazy afternoons, surrounded by a wooden viewing deck with seating.  A raised guest lounge and bar.

Dining is conducted either in the dining room or out on viewing deck, or by request in the privacy of your suite.  Spa treatments are also available in the comfort of your suite.

Activities

Activities

Activities at Imbali include twice daily game drives with highly experienced guides in state of the art open game drive vehicles.

It’s always recommended that you join your guide on an insightful bush walk where he will take you on a journey of discovery explaining in greater detail the medical uses of various plants and tree along the importance of the smaller creatures, like the dung beetles, termites and even the mosquitoes have to the ecosystem.  You will go away with a much greater respect for these tiny creatures that share our planet.
