Set in a remote part of western Serengeti is where you’ll find Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp and where the Great Migration passes by.  Here is where you can witness the drama of wildebeest and zebra crossing the river in search of green pastures on the other side whilst the huge crocodiles lurk in the waters ready to snap up a meal at every given chance.

 

Following the migration are the predators such as huge prides of lion and clans of hyena, cheetah and leopard.  Do not despair, even out of the migration season you will still have ample opportunity to see the resident animals including all the predators along with large elephant herds.

The accommodation at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp consists of just ten luxury safari tents, including one family unit.  Enjoy your sumptuous king size bed which can be converted to twins on request, opulent soft furnishings and elegant fittings along with an indoor and outdoor lounge area.  The en-suite facilities include a double vanity and outdoor shower.

 

Step out into your very own private viewing deck and relax in your open-air lounge area whilst taking in the views of the river and African bush beyond.

An outdoor lounge area with views of the hippo pool along with an indoor lounge and bar area complete the offerings at Grumeti.

Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides. Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles specially designed for traversing the African bush.

 

You can take to the skies in a hot air balloon for a safari along with cultural visits to communities living close to Grumeti.  You may also wish to take a day trip to Lake Victoria for a fishing safari in a traditional canoe.
