DumaTau is located on the banks of the Osprey Lagoon within the Linyanti River. The enormous elephant herds in the area are often see enjoying the cool waters of the river. With both the Linyanti River and Savuti Channel nearby allows guests the opportunity to participate in both land and water-based safari activities.

 

The camp boasts both a stunning floating jetty that houses an exquisite fire pit and a viewing deck with cozy seating often used for romantic private dining, again with spectacular views of the lagoon.

DumaTau consists of just nine raised tents, including one family unit. Each with twin or king size beds draped with mosquito netting and luxurious soft furnishings that echos the ambiance of a bygone era.  The en-suite facilities include an indoor shower, double vanities and separate w.c.  The family unit consists of two bedrooms and separate bathrooms.

 

Step out onto your private wooden deck and take in the stunning view Osprey Lagoon.  The comfortable seating area allows you to relax in comfort whilst scanning the lagoon for the local wildlife.

The facilities available at DumaTau include a floating jetty with fire pit reaching into the lagoon, a star deck ideally placed for pre-dinner drinks romantic dining.  Meals can be taken in the dining room or on the viewing deck.

 

The sun deck is the perfect place for relaxing during the afternoon where you can take a dip in the pool to cool off from the summer heat. In-room spa treatments are also available.

The Okavango Delta offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in the morning and evening when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles.  We highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk, your guide will point out animal tracks along with the unique plant life of the Okavango Delta.

 

The perfect way to explore the waterways of the Delta is by barge, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way, or simply meander through the Delta in a purpose built motor boat enjoying the magically scenery as you go.
