Lying on the gently rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha. It is here on the outskirts of this town, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s  largest coffee plantations, that you will find Arusha Coffee Lodge, a perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any East African safari.

Rooms

Rooms

Plantation Rooms are cosy and comfortably furnished rooms nestled among the aromatic coffee trees. A welcoming atmosphere greets guests, who enjoy an inviting in-room log fire, en suite bathroom with shower and bath, and a veranda overlooking the surrounding green coffee garden.

Plantation Suites are spacious, modern yet homely retreats among the coffee trees. With a soothing rainfall shower and generous bathtub, a private outside terrace with log fire, a 32” TV with satellite service  and attractive décor reflecting the omnipresent theme of coffee, a  Plantation Suite invites guests to relax and unwind.

Facilities

Facilities

The Grill Room is the ideal locale for those wishing to enjoy a menu that has been crafted with a discerning palate in mind. The menu, created and devised by the Executive Chef, pays homage to international gourmet and culinary techniques whilst featuring the very finest in fresh, locally sourced produce that in turn enhances each dish with that  all-important local flavouring.

With indoor and garden terrace seating available, and serviced by its very own bar, coffee station and pizza oven, The Bistro serves a rich variety of dishes all prepared using the very best of fresh, locally  sourced produce.

Guests can relax in the stunning swimming pool or take advantage of the inhouse spa.

Activities

Activities

A walk around the workings of the coffee plantation to see how the coffee is grown, harvested, dried, and produced into the aromatic coffee that we drink every day.

The closest national park to Arusha town – northern Tanzania’s safari  capital – Arusha National Park is a multi-faceted jewel, offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours

A day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater will be the highlight of any stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge. The Ngorongoro Crater, a large, unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera is the pride of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is 610 m (2,000 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km2  (100 sq mi).
