Chobe National Park

Extending around 12 000 kilometers, Chobe National Park is the most visited national park in Botswana for a good reason. It’s a wildlife-rich destination offering safari-goers unforgettable experiences only very few places in Africa can match. Here are a few best reasons why you should visit Chobe National Park in Botswana.

While visiting Chobe National Park, you will get to explore four different ecosystems – river, swamp and seasonal marshland area, the floodplains, and woodlands. This is why the national park has a huge diversity of flora and fauna offering a unique safari experience – certainly one the best experiences in Africa.

One of the best reasons to do a Chobe National Park safari is for its abundant and diverse wildlife species. It stands out as the home to four of the majestic Big Five as there are no rhinos in the park, as well as other animals like zebras, kudu, hyenas, red lechwe and some of the less common animals like eland, sable and roan antelopes. However, you can easily see here wild species like lion, cheetah, wild dog, and leopard.

While a safari involves a thrilling experience, nothing beats a boat safari adventure. However, watching animals up-close from the water can give you an exceptional vantage point and seems to make them completely oblivious to your presence. In fact, the tranquility of water and the privileged access to terrain make for a memorable game viewing experience like no other.
