King’s Pool, named following visits from Scandinavian royalty, is a premier lodge on the banks of the Oxbow Lagoon.

 

Its location within the important wildlife corridor that incorporates Angola, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana gives rise to excellent game viewing opportunities either by land or water.

King’s Pool consists of just eight canvas and thatched suites, each of the suites include either a twin or king size bed draped with mosquito netting and exquisite soft furnishings in a modern style with an African twist.  The en-suite facilities include both indoor and outdoor showers, double vanities and separate w.c.  The family unit consists of two bedrooms with separate bathrooms, outdoor sunken lounge with a private plunge pool.


The private sunken lounge areas overlook the Oxbow Lagoon and is a magnet for wildlife in the area. Sit and watch a herd of elephants taking a bath while you enjoy a refreshing drink from your private viewing deck.

The facilities at King’s Pool include multiple viewing and dining decks, with opulent soft furnishings and fittings. The central fire pit is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks and mixing with your fellow guests and discuss the days sightings and experiences.

 

The outdoor sunken lounge area has spectacular views of the lagoon, dining is offered either indoors, out on the raised wooden deck or in the traditional boma.  The lodge also offers guests in-room spa treatments, a comprehensive library and a lodge pool.


A sunken hide is located at a waterhole a short drive from camp along with a viewing hide situated on the western edge off the camp.

The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles.  We highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk, your guide will point out animal tracks along with the unique plant life of the Linyanti.

 

The perfect way to explore the waterways of the Linyanti River is by barge, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way, meander through the Delta enjoying the magically scenery as you go.
