Chief’s Camp, situated in the Mombo Concession on Chief’s Island is the premier destination for an African safari.  Located within the Moreni Game Reserve and once the royal hunting grounds of Chief Moremi here you will witness life in the predator capital of Africa.

 

With both water and land-based activities offered you really get to see it all, from elephants playing in the waterways to lions stalking their prey, and wild dog chasing down their query. Sit back and watch the African spectacle unfold before your eyes.

The accommodation at Chief’s Camp is exquisite with king size beds wrapped in swaths of mosquito netting, sumptuous soft furnishings and fittings. An indoor seating area is provided should you wish to relax. The en-suite facilities include both indoor and outdoor showers, double vanities and separate w.c.

 

Step out into your private deck to stunning views of the surrounding floodplain where you can sit and watch the wildlife pass by.

The facilities on offer at Chief’s Camp include extensive lounge areas and split-level viewing decks along with a sparkling pool and sun lounge area with views of the floodplains.  A traditional fire pit is the perfect place for a sundowner or pre-dinner drink.  Dining is conducted either indoors or out on deck, private dining can also be arranged.

Activities

The Okavango Delta offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening, seasonally at night when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive.

 

Explore the waterways of the Delta by traditional mokoro, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way or take to the skies and witness the African bush from above.
