The luxurious Baines’ Camp offers guests a unique insight into elephant behaviour.  The Living with Elephants Foundation cares for two orphaned elephants at Baines’ Camp and guests can take a leisurely morning walk with the elephants and learn about their personalities and behaviour.

 

Guests can also enjoy a sleep out under the stars in their romantic sky bed or take a soak in your free standing bathtub on your very own private deck.

Baines' Camp offers just six thatched suites each with king size beds wrapped in swathes of netting enabling them to be wheeled out onto your private deck for a sleep out under the stars. The en-suite facilities include an indoor shower, outdoor free-standing bathtub, double vanities and separate w.c.

 

Your private wooden deck offers guests seating with views of the African bush, your outdoor bath and room for your king size bed.

The facilities offered at Baines' Camp include a luxurious lounge area with cozy sofas and a lodge pool with sun deck and salas.  Dining is conducted in a number of locations from indoors, out on the viewing decks or private dining by the pool.

Activities

The Delta offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in purpose built open game drive.  If the opportunity presents itself, we recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk to experience the bush in the most natural way.

 

Explore the waterways of the Delta by traditional mokoro, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way, or simply meander through the Delta in a purpose built motor boat.  Take to the skies and witness the bush from above or visit the elephants currently in the care of the ‘Living With Elephants Foundation’.
