The 14 000 hectare of pristine African wilderness which is home to the Thornybush Private Nature Reserve is in the Northern part of the Sabi Sand and forms part of the Greater Kruger Park.
Thornybush enjoys some of the best game viewing on offer with spectacular ‘Big 5’ sightings plus the elusive cheetah and wild dog make this a ‘Super Seven’ destination.
Thornybush Game Lodge consists of eighteen Luxury Suites and two Luxury Family Suite
Each of the suites enjoys king size beds, air-conditioning, mini bars, hairdryers, separate baths and both indoor and outdoor showers.
The Family Suites also boast a lounge area with sleeper couch a large private deck and plunge pool.
Thornybush Lodge facilities include a library with internet access, swimming pool, boma dining area, a fully equipped conference facility, children’s program and baby sitting facilities.
Guests also can enjoy the Thornybush Spa.
Twice daily game drive in open Land Cruisers with highly professional rangers and Shangaan trackers, both of which enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences of the African bush.
After a scrumptious breakfast you are welcome to join your ranger on an insightful bush walk where he will take you on a journey of discovery explaining in greater detail the medical uses of various plants and tree along the importance of the smaller creatures, like the dung beetles, termites and even the mosquitoes have to the ecosystem. You will go away with a much greater respect for these tiny creatures that share our planet.
