The wetlands are home to large herds of red lechwe and sitatunga antelope along with hippo and crocodile giving way to spectacular game viewing. The area is also known for its large concentrations of the endangered wattled crane along with slaty egrets, african skimmers and pel’s fishing owls.

Pelo is a small camp of just five tents consisting of either twin or king size beds swathed in mosquito netting and comfortable soft furnishings and fittings.  The en-suite facilities include an indoor shower and outdoor bucket shower, single vanity and separate w.c.

Out on your private wooden deck you’ll find breathtaking views of the Delta.  Seating is provided to allow you to relax in comfort whilst gazing into never ending floodplains.

The facilities on offer at Pelo include a fire pit with stunning views of the floodplain, ideal for pre-dinner drinks and a catch-up with your fellow guests.  Meals are taken in the dining room or out in the traditional African boma where you sit under the stars.

A guest lounge, bar and pool complete the facilities on offer.
