Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary offers an array of activities and adventures in the picturesque Ezulwini Valley (Valley of Heaven), flanked by the dramatic backdrop of mountains and the huge Usuthu Forest stretching into the distance.
Here the wildlife is all around you, from the nyana and worthogs that spend most of their time in camp to the impala and zebra that prefer the protection that the camp offers them through the night.
The accommodation at Mlilwane consists of traditional beehive huts, these stunning and unique thatched domes each have twin beds and en-suite bathrooms set in a semi circle boma. Both family and triple huts are available.
The camp also offers guests the option of self-catering accommodation and camping.
The camp is easy to navigate with a short walk between the main area, which includes the main reception, activities centre, curio shop, Hippo Haunt Restaurant and the accommodation.
The camp also has a large swimming pool area, sweeping lawns and a waterhole to view the abundance of birdlife at Mlilwane.
Here the wildlife comes to your door, it is common for you to walk out of your room straight into a herd of nyala or zebra busy eating the grass around your hut. This freedom to explore Mlilwane is unique due to the absence of the Big 5, and whatever activities you chose to do here, getting amongst zebra, wildebeest, nyala and blesbuck is a daily occurrence. Mlilwane’s wildlife is amazingly tolerant, allowing for unparalleled memories and photographic moments.
Hiking, mountain biking and horseriding are just some of the optional activities available at Mlilwane.
