This 22 000 hectare private game reserve sits in a very convenient location at the Eastern side of the famous South African Garden Route and so makes a perfect start or finish to your travels in South Africa. It also boasts a malaria free status so ideal for families.
This is a reserve where the nocturnal creatures such as porcupine, aardwolf and aardvark are seen on a regular basis.
The exclusive use Melton Manor has four en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate up to eight guests. Each of the bedrooms includes king size beds, air-conditioning, electronic safe, hairdryer and ceiling fans.
The large en-suite facilities boast beautiful free standing bathtubs, double vanity units and both indoor and outdoor showers.
The facilities on offer at Melton Manor include a full size swimming pool with lounger area, indoor and outdoor lounge areas and in room spa facilities.
There are various dining options at Melton Manor from the indoor dining room, out on the covered veranda, poolside under the stars to intimate private dining; staying at an exclusive use villa means the choice is all yours.
The activities available to guests at Kwandwe are extensive. Your experienced ranger and tracker will enthrall you with close animal encounters in you twice daily game drives. Let you ranger give you a different perspective of the African wildlife with a bush walk, here he will explain the importance of the smaller creatures such a dung beetles and termites along with the traditional uses for the trees and plants within the reserve.
To get your adrenaline pumping and join a specialist armed ranger and tracker team in tracking the big game (white rhino, black rhino, elephant and buffalo) on foot (16 years and older only). Or at a more sedate place, catch and release fishing in the Great Fish river is also offered.
