Camp Kalahari is located on Brown Hyena Island within the Kalahari Desert and on the doorstep of the wonderful Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The camp is home to a habituated meetkat family known as the ‘Kalahari Cool Cats’ and can often be found sneaking up on guests with the hope of using them as a lookout post.


The accommodation is simple but comfortable with guests having stunning views into the desert from the private verandas.



The accommodation at Camp Kalahari consists of twelve tents, including family tents, boasting twin or king size beds.  The en-suite facilities include showers, double vanities and toilet. The family tents include two bedrooms with shared bathrooms.


Each tent also includes a private veranda with seating overlooking the desert.



The facilities at Camp Kalahari includes an open plan lounge area and dining area.  The lodge also boasts a sparkling pool with covered lounging area and a fire pit, the perfect location for pre-dinner drinks.



The activities available by Camp Kalahari includes game drives into the Kalahari Desert where the lion, leopard and elegant cheetah are often spotted hunting prey.


Take a walk with the dependents of the san bushman to learn about surviving in such a harsh environment.


Horseback riding safaris into the desert and quad biking excursions to Kubu Island can be arranged.
